Are we doing our individual and institutional duties nowadays, as our natural resources continue to run out quickly, we pay the heavy costs of environmental pollution, and have ee witnessed the effects of climate change closely?
Hello there,
I am happy to be with you on my first blog post. I wanted to talk about World Environment Day.
As a beginning for the conservation of the earth’s natural balance; It is celebrated as the 5th of June World Environment Day with a decision taken at the Environment Conference held in Stockholm in 1972 42 years ago. In our country, since 1978, it has been accepted as the Environmental Protection Week between June 5th and 11th. It seemed as a proof that we were sensitive to this issue in the past both as individual and institutional. Are we doing our duties on an individual and institutional basis nowadays, where our natural resources continue to run out fast, we pay the heavy costs of environmental pollution, and have we witnessed the effects of climate change closely?
There is only one answer that can be given when we evaluate this question in terms of our industry. The right material choices and the right insulation is the biggest investment for the future.
Today, especially in a period of increased sensitivity to global warming, it is often emphasized that at the beginning of environmental issues it is necessary to reduce carbon emissions and to minimize the use of petroleum derivatives. Energy efficiency in the buildings multiplies as the most effective tool for combating environmental problems. We know that it is possible to save half the energy at the premises and the lifetime of the building to at least 2 times thanks to proper insulation practices.
In recent years, world leaders, especially US President Barack Obama, are making bold steps on behalf of the environment and emphasize that “in the buildings, energy efficiency and proper insulation practices are as important as their applications.” These statements are both a big message for the construction industry and for us construction chemicals manufacturers and the insulation sector, and they include the right steps to be taken for the future.
Today; Especially for below grade waterproofing, the use of qualified and environmentally friendly “green” waterproofing materials is increasing and getting more and more important every day.
As part of our management understanding since the day we were established, we believe that economic development must take place without destroying the natural assets and the environment; We are proud of the fact that HYFIX Chemical Waterproofing Systems have the qualities that even today’s world leaders have even described.
