Architect Sinan, which is one of the most important architects in our country, was remembered on April 9 Architects’ Day with a series of activities which are reminiscent of the genius of Turkish architecture.
As it has been in previous years, this year, award-winning competitions are being organized about a series of events and architectural projects in many institutions and universities across Turkey with Turkish Union of Engineers and Architects Chambers and Chamber of Architects of Turkey.
In addition to a series of seminars and conferences to commemorate Mimar Sinan, one of the most important names in Turkish architectural history, Mimar Sinan’s most comprehensive and multi-technological exhibition to date has been held at the Tophane-i Amire Culture and Art Center.
The exhibition reflected Mimar Sinan’s imperial architectural style, which has nearly 400 works throughout his life of nearly 100 years, will remain open for two months. Introducing the works supported by touch screens, smartphones and tablets with special applications, screen walls, kiosk applications and 2D-3D applications, which will be the most comprehensive Architect Sinan event realized to date.
